Did you know? We’ve saved almost 250,000 litres of water in 2022 and up until Q1 of 2023, we’ve been able to donate almost 600,000 litres of clean water so far to people in need in Africa through our support for The Water Project!

Our “eco-friendly car wash” is basically the same as the widely known term, “waterless car wash”. But we decided to go with the term “eco-friendly” because “waterless car wash” is, in fact, not completely waterless. This type of car wash still requires SOME water to be used when mixing with the solutions. 

The reason people call this type of car wash “waterless“ is because it usually uses between 2-5 litres of water per wash, compared to 150-300 litres of water used with a jet wash or a traditional wash at home using a garden hose! 

But since we want to be absolutely transparent with you and don’t want to promote any false narrative, we chose to not mention the term “waterless” in our services to avoid confusion (although sometimes, it is necessary for clarification purposes). All in all, for a typical “waterless” car wash at DHMC, you can be sure that we will only be using 1-2 litres of water per wash, helping you save hundreds of litres of clean water each time!

A mobile car wash is an on-demand service where we come to you! As long as you are located within the areas that we cover, you can get your car washed in the comfort of your Netflix and pajamas, or while you’re keeping up with your hectic schedule, out and about, running errands or going on a date!

 

We’re sorry to hear that you’ve had a bad experience! You might think, “How could waterless car wash be as good as the usual (jet) wash?”, right? 

Truth is, if you use products from reputable brands with highly lubricated formula specifically designed for waterless car wash to get rid of stubborn dirt and grime, waterless car wash is actually MUCH BETTER than those traditional water-consuming methods, as it is not only good for your car but also great for our environment! 

We also make sure that the products we use are top quality and our eco-friendly solution is pH-neutral to help prolong the life of your existing waxes and sealants, whilst keeping the surfaces of your car shinier and cleaner for much longer time than those traditional methods.

Our eco-friendly services are also satisfaction guaranteed and we can swear by our co-founder, Kieran (who is also a Ferrari fanatic/owner) that you won’t be disappointed.

 

Since launching our startup in May 2021, our mission has always been to help save the planet and be kind to other human beings who are less fortunate than us. We are grateful to be in this position after such a tough period (1.5 years to be exact) of struggling with COVID-19, which is why we are a proud supporter of The Water Project by donating £1 of our proceeds for every wash you book with us. We’ll keep you updated on how much we’ve contributed on your behalf via email. The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing reliable water projects to communities in sub-Saharan Africa who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation. Since 2006, they have been helping communities gain access to clean, safe water by providing training, expertise and financial support for water project construction through their staff and implementing partners.

The Water Project’s 2023 average project cost (for first-year implementation costs) / the average number of people served per project / 365 days a year is $0.24. When this is converted based on the current exchange rates to Pounds, it’s roughly ~£0.20 for the average cost for one day of clean water for one person. Therefore, £1 provides five days of clean water to someone in need. 

We are delighted to announce that DHMC is the first fully sustainable on-demand car wash and services in Central London!! Everything from our electric vehicles to our reusable plastic bottles, biodegradable latex gloves, washable tools and the use of electric/solar powered generators. 

There’s no need to wait another 10 years for us to be “fully sustainable”. Our company is already as green and clean as we can be! Plus, we plant trees to help offset our carbon footprints, which in turn, allows us to remain carbon negative throughout our operations.

Of course! We already have enough anxiety from countless lockdowns and the last thing we want from our customers is to fall ill due to our lack of responsibility. We can guarantee that all of our operatives are vaccinated. 

Currently we only cover Central London. But keep an eye on this section though as we are likely to be expanding soon! Otherwise, just email us to enquire if you’re unsure. No request is too big.

 

Our hours are from 8AM to 8PM, Mondays to Sundays including bank holidays. To avoid burning out and to allow our operatives to catch up on some quality time with their loved ones, we are closed during the Christmas period between 24 December and 2 January. 

Out-of-hours services are available upon request. Just ask and we’ll see what we can do for you! Please note that additional fees may apply.

Our pricing is categorised into 4 main groups; Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large. Luxury vehicles, however, fall in either the Large or the Extra Large group given its variation in sizes, conditions and complexities. Our categorisation takes into account the time it takes to clean the vehicle, the amount of products needed for the surface area and if there is any special product requirement for luxury materials (i.e. alcantara). 

A 2-door hatchback like a Mini Cooper S is considered a “small”, whilst a 4-door hatchback like a Mini Cooper Countryman or a BMW i3 is considered a “medium”. A Range Rover Evoque (a “large”), a Range Rover Autobiography Long Wheelbase (an “extra large”) and a Mercedes G-Wagon (also an “extra large”) differ in prices given the complexity of the shape, material and the intricate details (especially in the interior), despite all of them being a 4×4/SUV. Likewise, a BMW M3 with alcantara interior will be considered a “luxury” vehicle when compared to a BMW 3 Series of a similar “medium” size.

The only time we would categorise by brand is due to the fact that that brand is known to only manufacture supercars, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, of which in such cases, they will be considered a “luxury” vehicle.

You can rest assured that your car will be completely fine! Our eco-friendly solution is pH-neutral and since ceramic coatings are chemically resistant, this will help prolong the life of your existing waxes and sealants and not degrade it at all.

 

We don’t necessarily need your car keys but if you’d like us to clean the door/boot shuts or certain deep or hidden areas for exterior services, then please unlock your vehicle for accessibility. For all our interior services, kindly drop us a note when making your booking on where we can pick up the keys upon our arrival. Once the job is done, our operative will either return the keys back to you or through your letterbox if you’re unavailable to pick them up in person.

All we ask is that there is at least 50cm around the vehicle to provide enough space for our operatives to move around the vehicle and carry out an efficient job.

 

No, all of our operatives are completely self-sustained, so don’t worry about us knocking on your door every 5 minutes asking for electricity or water supply! The only times we will knock on your door is upon our arrival where we go through your job requirements and before we handover the vehicle back to you, so that you can inspect our work to make sure that you are satisfied with the services provided.

 

One thing this pandemic has taught us is that life is full of uncertainties. If your schedule changes and you may need to cancel or rearrange your booking, we are more than happy to assist based on our cancellation policy as set out in the Terms and Conditions.

In summary:

  • There are no refunds for cancellations or rearrangements made within 24 hours or less of the time of scheduled booking.
  • Rearrangement made within 24 hours of the scheduled time for all services will incur a 30% fee. 
  • Cancellation or rearrangement made between 24 to 72 hours of the scheduled time for ‘Exterior’ or ‘In & Out’ services (not including add-on services) will not incur a fee.
  • Cancellation made between 24 to 72 hours of the scheduled time for ‘Exterior’, ‘In & Out’, ‘Optimum’ or ‘VIP’ services with add-ons, will incur a 50% fee.
  • Rearrangement made between 24 to 72 hours of the scheduled time for ‘Exterior’, ‘In & Out’, ‘Optimum’ or ‘VIP’ services with add-ons, will incur a 20% fee.
  • You will not be charged for cancellation or rearrangement if you inform us more than 72 hours, or three (3) working days, in advance.

The reason for these strict rules is because we always aim to minimise the travel time between jobs by matching our nearest located operative to your location as our mission is to be as efficient and sustainable as possible.

 

It is your responsibility to check the weather conditions and sync up your car wash accordingly… just like how ladies like to sync up their hair wash with their gym schedule! We will never ask you to cancel or rearrange your booking unless of heavy rain, thunder and/or lightning, or due to unforeseen circumstances. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more information on our cancellation policy.

 

As a small startup, we’d like to take this time to thank you for wanting to make such requests and we apologise for the lack of advancement in our technology! For the time being, if you’d like to book regular slots, please contact us to make those arrangements! All we need is your name, registered license, any special request you’d want to highlight for each wash, date & time and the frequency of the wash.

We are a small but mighty team, so even though you may not be able to book 2+ slots that run simultaneously with each other, we are more than happy to work on all your vehicles at your premises that require TLC.
